Firstsite is delighted to launch No Horizon: an installation by glass artist Emma Woffenden’ published in association with Fabrica, Brighton and Angel Row Gallery, Nottingham

The book tracks and reflects on Woffenden’s three-stage exhibition No Horizon, that developed over eighteen months in response to the three contrasting sites: Fabrica – a former church; Angel Row Gallery – a former department store and firstsite – a Georgian house.

Objects created for each architectural environment travelled to other gallery spaces to be re-presented and integrated with new elements. For her finale at firstsite, Emma chose to collaborate with artist Ann Course, as a means of evolving the installation further.

With essays by Linda Theophilus, Cheryl Smyth and an interview with the three curators by Deborah Smith, supported with dramatic installation images at each stage, this book traces the artistic and curatorial development of this new model of a touring exhibition.
