Wayne Warner, our first Commercial Director, joined the organisation in 2008, since which time he has delivered rapid business growth.

Wayne’s vision is to bring together commercial and cultural working so the business and artistic programmes can inform and support each other.

For many years, Wayne worked in venue management for large organisations such as ClearChannel Entertainment, CCL Leisure and Live Nation. Wayne started his career in the leisure industry, progressed rapidly to general management of large, multipurpose sports facilities, and then moved into contract management.

In 2005, Wayne made a strategic decision to broaden his experience, with a move into theatre management at ClearChannel. The role included responsibility for the prestigious new Wembley Arena.

Wayne has a wealth of experience in venue mobilisation, which has proved essential in driving the strategic mobilisation of firstsite.
