Children's University

The Children's University is a national organisation that provides 7- to 14-year-olds with exciting and innovative learning activities outside normal school hours.

The Children's University celebrates achievement and rewards participation through a national certification scheme.

firstsite is a Public Learning Destination for the Colchester Children's University, and many of its activities are validated by them; see right for the current list.

Children need to register with the Children's University before they can take part, by calling 01206 245 057. On registration, children are issued with a Passport to Learning. (Please note that firstsite does not register children, or give out Passports.)

Children visiting firstsite with a Passport to Learning should ask the person leading the activity in which they are taking part to record their visit in their Passport. They will only get a stamp if taking part in one of the listed activities.
