Artists' Support Programme
Artists' Support Programme
Supporting and developing artistic talent in the eastern region is an important strand in firstsite's programme.
Through our Artists' Support Programme, firstsite is creating a legacy for the individual artist and the wider community.
We focus on working with artists from the East of England with a programme designed to meet the aspirations of the region as a place where artists want to live, work and study.
Our Artists' Support Programme celebrates artists based in the region and adds value to other regional provision.
It balances a structured, formal approach with the scope to be flexible and responsive to the needs of individual artists.
Our programme includes:
- Bursary opportunities through the firstsite Collectors' Group. Information about past recipients can ber found here.
- Signposting sources of information, new opportunities and advice on continuing professional development
- Artist-led initiatives such as peer critiques and inter-artist dialogue
- Informal and formal networking events
- Brokerage of new relationships with other artists, galleries, writers and critics
- Collaborative relationships with artists
