The first year students from the Artist Teacher scheme will be in firstsite's project space researching and developing concepts and ideas.

This is a unique opportunity to drop in and find out about the Artist Teacher Scheme in Colchester and to discover how the students' work is developing.

The Artist Teacher Scheme is a national programme of continuing professional development co-ordinated by the National Society for Education in Art and Design. Colchester's scheme is entering its third year and is jointly delivered by firstsite and Colchester Institute of Art, Design and Media. The MA Contemporary Art and Professional Practice is a two-year part-time course for art and design teachers and artist educators who wish to reawaken their creative practice through critical engagement with contemporary visual arts practices.
