Flowers and green fingers for the first Colchester in Bloom Buttonhole Day

firstsite was a hub for all things flowery yesterday as part of the first Colchester in Bloom Buttonhole Day. Ten baskets of flowers and greenery for buttonholes were created at firstsite and then shipped out to Colchester Visitor Information Centre, The Mercury Theatre, Colchester Central Library, Sainsbury’s and Lush to be pick up points for the buttonholes.

Over 170 buttonholes were given out to Colchester shoppers throughout the day and were noted by visiting judges from Anglia in Bloom.

Thanks to everyone who wore a buttonhole and showed their support for the event and to Waitrose, Sainsbury’s and Marks and Spencer’s for their donations of flowers for the event and also to Lush for basket loan.
