Adam Thompson, Untitled, 2004

30 October – 5 December
Adam Thompson

Thompson’s work is often small in size or scale, and sets up shared formal and psychological relationships; in an era dominated by grandiose spectacles, the work invites quiet investigation. He explores the boundaries of sculpture and photography placing strong emphasis on surface and the object/viewer relationship. Creating works that are often temporal, ephemeral and site-specific, there is often a sense of material loss, an absence of substance in an increasingly virtual age.
